IPL

How is the
Photo-rejuvenation/IPL
Procedure?

Before the IPL procedure, your skin care specialist will examine your skin and explain what to expect. Let them know if you have any skin conditions, such as inflammatory acne or eczema, that may interfere with your recovery after treatment. Your skin care specialist may advise you to avoid certain activities, medicines, and other products for two weeks before your procedure.

The treatment area will be cleaned first by your skin care specialist. They next apply a cooling gel on your skin. After that, the IPL technology is employed to deliver light pulses to your skin. During your treatment, you’ll need to wear dark glasses to protect your eyes.

Your skin may be irritated by the pulses. Depending on whatever region of your body is being treated and how large the area is, the treatment should take 20 to 30 minutes. It may take three to six treatments to attain the desired results.

As pain response and tolerance fluctuate from person to person, there is no straightforward answer to this question. Photorejuvenation causes moderate pain in the majority of persons.

Since almost everyone has sun damaged skin to some degree, almost everyone can benefit from photorejuvenation.

In most cases, only one treatment is required. Some people need two, and rarely three sessions are required.
