Photorejuvenation is the application of intense pulsed light (IPL) to the face, neck, and hands to alleviate pigmentation caused by sun damage. IPL penetrates to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without causing damage to the top layer (epidermis), resulting in reduced skin damage.
Although IPL can be utilized on any part of the body, uneven portions may not respond as well. It is not recommended for people with darker skin tones or those who are prone to keloid scars that are thick and raised. It’s also not as effective on lighter hair as it is on darker hair.
